Rough diamond planning is the most critical link in the entire diamond manufacturing cycle. Maximum value is added (or destroyed) to a rough diamond stone at the rough planning stage. If the stone is not planned properly or if the design is flawed, the final output will be suboptimal and nothing can be done to rectify the situation at the execution stage or afterwards. Cutting edge technology is making this process very scientific and measurable. In days to come, more and more of the planning shall be done and finalized with the help of advanced technologies like M-Box and Helium of Lexus-Technomist. However, the use of the technology correctly is also a huge challenge for most companies because of lack of trained manpower. Moreover, since the technology keeps on ever evolving, it is very difficult for companies to keep abreast with it and there is always a time lag between the up gradation of the technology and its correct application by the users.

Upon signing of this proposal LTM shall first require you to fill up a detailed pre-data form so as to enable us to collect information about the design pre-conditions used by your company such as :

	the conditions subject to which the stone should be planned viz. cut-class or make of stones in particular purities
	your price list
	such other information or instructions which you believe should be adhered to while performing the planning on your stones

How it works

Upon receipt of the aforesaid information, we shall confirm the same with you and our entire design exercise shall then follow the aforesaid information and instructions.

We shall ship the basic photography equipment set on receipt of the non-refundable deposit as mentioned under our financial proposal section.

The actual design exercise shall follow the following methodology :

	the rough diamonds you want us to plan shall be photographed through the set of equipment on your site by our people
	the stones shall also be accompanied by the manual plotting of the inclusions
	upon receipt of the image of the stone, the same shall be taken up for design process
	the identity of the stone shall be changed through encryption before going into processing in order to keep your company name anonymous
	the digital image of the stone shall be processed to come up with various possible plan options using latest Helium, M-Box and other technologies
	a report shall be prepared and sent to you within 48 working hours containing the design options
	upon acceptance of the design, our people on you site shall do the laser marking as per the selected plan which shall serve as the design for final execution.
